SharePoint and .NET Administrator
- Technical lead on a four person team that supported a division-wide Microsoft .NET environment based on SharePoint Server, Team Foundation Server, and MetaStorm BPM. The SharePoint farm contains approximately 100 site collections, 15,000 users located on 3 continents, and 400GB of content.
- Worked closely with business users to match their needs with SharePoint capabilities.
- Wrote documentation covering Backup/Restore, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, and Developer Guidelines.
- Developed an InfoPath onboarding application with an approval workflow.
- Developed custom SharePoint Application Pages to display a workflow’s history in C#. Other developed projects include building Proof-of-Concept applications around SharePoint specific features such as Web Parts, Event Receivers, InfoPath Forms, Excel Services, and the Business Data Catalog. These were written to assist new .NET developers gain knowledge in the SharePoint development model.
- Wrote auditing, monitoring and alerting scripts using Microsoft PowerShell. An example of one script utilized Google’s Charting API and jQuery to graphically trend SharePoint content usage based on data in a SharePoint list.
- Built the developer virtual machine template used by all SharePoint developers in the division. Tools included the complete SharePoint Stack, Visual Studio 2008, TFS Team Client, Visual Studio Extensions for SharePoint Services, WSPBuilder, and other CodePlex utilities.
- Led infrastructure team during a 1.5 year project to implement a global application to automate the handling of incoming fax messages which used SharePoint as its UI and MetaStorm BPM as its workflow engine.
- Led project to migrate 75 Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 site collections – totaling about 35GB in content – with AvePoint’s DocAve Migrator module.

Infrastructure Engineer
· Lead engineer on a team that provided end to end support for a datacenter consisting of 10 VMware ESX servers, 150 virtual machines, and 20 additional physical servers.
· Primary duties included providing engineering support for the network equipment, load balancers, server hardware, Active Directory, Team Foundation System, SharePoint, and Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux).
- Secondary duties included providing SQL Server database administration for supported ASP.NET applications. Typical activities included installation, patching, transaction replication setup, log shipping setup, and application monitoring.
- Developed data loading ETL jobs using Microsoft’s SQL Server Integration Services for ASP.NET applications.
- Consolidated 20 VMware ESX servers and their virtual machines running on ESX 2.5.x to 10 ESX3.0x servers on more powerful hardware. Performed initial hardware and software research, developed build scripts, wrote documentation/migration plan, and managed team during the execution phase of the project.
- Automated numerous manual activities to ease administrative workload. These activities included monitoring, alerting, virtual machine deployment, and operating system install.

Senior Technical Business Analyst
· Worked closely with Business Analysts to architect infrastructure solutions to meet application requirements. Developed documentation for operation teams. Automated routine administration tasks.
